Vaping is an excellent way to take CBD as it is absorbed directly into the blood stream through the lungs thus by-passing the gut. This means that the effect is seen very quickly as the bioavailability is high.
It's also worth pointing out that the vaping process itself can help with relaxation due to the deep inhales and exhales as practiced in meditation and mindfulness.
CBD (cannabidiol) is an extract from the cannabis or hemp plant that has no psychoactive properties and is classified as a food supplement in the UK. This means it will not produce a "high". The Government, therefore, has recently decided that it is legal to grow, sell and consume CBD.
CBD has been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of a number of medical conditions and this has been well documented. It has been known and used for thousands of years to treat many debilitating diseases. On top of this the fibre from the hemp plant has been used to make rope, sails and clothes.
HOW TO USE
The vaping kit consists of a carry case containing the Vape Pen (the battery), a pre-filled cartridge containing 40% CBD and a USB battery charger. The cartridges are filled with 200mg full spectrum pure CO2 extract in 0.5ml of oil. This is dewaxed and then blended with different terpene profiles to add to the effects.
The kits come with a choice of two different cartridges:
- Grandaddy purple - a more sedating form of CBD and suitable for night time use
- Pineapple express - best for use during the day
You can also purchase the cartridges separately to suit your preference. So, for example, you could order a vaping kit with a Grandaddy purple cartridge and a spare cartridge containing the Pineapple express version.
Attach the cartridge to the Vape Pen Battery by screwing it in. Take a strong, 3-5 second draw and hold the vapour in your lungs for as long as possible. To start with, take 2 to 3 draws and wait to see what effect it produces. Leave it for at least 15 minutes before taking more draws but don't take more than 3 at any one time for the first few days. Most people find that repeating this procedure three times a day gives the best response.
The maximum number of draws we suggest per day is 20 - in other words 5 to 7 draws three times a day.
When you draw on the device you will notice that a green light appears at the end. If this doesn't happen you may not be drawing hard enough, or the battery has run out.
To recharge the battery, screw the USB unit into the Vape pen and connect it to a USB port.
Once the vape cartridges are finished we recommend changing for a new cartridge. The cartridges are not designed to be refilled.

Most publications report that CBD is non-toxic and well tolerated with very few side effects. Any side effects that have been reported are minor. However, you should be aware of the potential effects listed below:
CBD may have an impact on liver enzymes which could affect the way in which pharmaceutical drugs are metabolised. This means that if you are taking medicinal products their effectiveness may be decreased or increased. However, this is reported as a potential and has not been verified in clinical trials.
Dry mouth can occur with CBD but is easily corrected with a glass of water.
Light headedness, as a result of a small drop in blood pressure, has been known but is normally only caused within a few minutes of inhaling via a vape device and tends to alleviate quite quickly.
Drowsiness, particularly with high doses of CBD, is the most common side effect although still quite rare. If you are affected, then you should not drive or operate machinery.
In daily doses of 300mg or higher it has been reported by two patients with Parkinsonism* that their tremors got worse. This effect was quickly reversed by reducing the dose.
If you feel drowsy after taking CBD you should not drive or operate machinery.
No cases of overdose of CBD have been recorded.
